Cooperative methodologies for devepment: a view on mediation

Abstract

The importance of promoting transversal competences or social (soft) skills in children has been discussed for a long time, but little is known about how this promotion can be implemented. The use of cooperative methodologies presents itself as an effective way to promote not only soft skills in children, but also peaceful communities. This article explores the use of a cooperative board game for the development in a group of children of positive conflict management skills, soft skills and a culture of peace through collaborative action research.
