Abstract

We present a case of a 17-year-old male adolescent with persistent anterior knee pain without acute trauma. X-ray and computed tomography revealed Osgood-Shlatter disease. Osgood-Schlatter disease is a common cause of knee pain in adolescents caused by repeated stress on the tibial insertion of the patelar tendon and is associated with localized pain and swelling at the tibial tubercule. In most cases conservative treatment will relieve the pain and allow return to daily activities.
