A pertinência dos dispositivos de suporte em cuidados mãe canguru nas unidades de neonatologia

Introdução: Os Cuidados Mãe Canguru (CMC) representam uma das estratégias mais eficazes no cuidado do Recém-Nascido (RN) e dos pais, fundamentados na filosofia dos Cuidados Centrados na Família (CCF). A literatura atual salienta que a segurança do RN, a falta de recursos nos serviços de Neonatologia, tais como os equipamentos de proteção durante os CMC, constituem barreiras para a implementação eficaz do método canguru.
Objetivos: Identificar as evidências disponíveis na literatura sobre os dispositivos de suporte nos CMC e compreender a sua pertinência durante os CMC em RN nas unidades de neonatologia.
Métodos: Revisão integrativa da literatura utilizando a metodologia de Whittemore e Knaf, com pesquisa de estudos nas bases de dados eletrónicas PubMed, Scopus, Cinahl Complete e Nursing & Allied Health Collection. Da pesquisa resultaram 130 artigos, sendo detetados 38 artigos duplicados. Assim, resultaram 19 artigos para leitura integral e, pelos critérios definidos foram incluídos 4 estudos.
Resultados: Dos estudos incluídos, os autores salientam a importância dos dispositivos de suporte na promoção da segurança do RN, prevenção de quedas e permitir uma maior durabilidade dos CMC, maximizando o contacto pele-a-pele, a vinculação e amamentação.
Conclusão: O uso de dispositivos de suporte nos CMC apresentam benefícios para os RN pela sua facilidade de utilização, suporte adequado permitindo uma posição correta especialmente na presença de dispositivos médicos e potencia a autorregulação do RN e amamentação.
