The social construction of the economic policy for water

This work presents a conceptual critique about the neoclassical comprehension ofthe environmental question. The article proposes an analysis of the logical-deductive model used by the neoclassical environmental economy for the interpretationof the socio-environmental conflicts. It presents a critical revision of theneoclassic principles starting from the case of the access towater resources. Particularly,the work will treat the use of economical instruments of environmental policyexperience of the water management in both Brazil and Portugal.
