La raison critique peut-elle favoriser l’institutionnalité démocratique?

Comment faire face à l’irrationalisme dont l’influence envahit actuellement l’espace public? Voilà une question incontournable pour les sciences sociales. Qui doivent, pour essayer une réponse, ne pas oublier le riche travail critique fait, à propos du concept de raison, par des sciences comme l’économie et la sociologie, pendant tout le XXe siècle. S’il y a une rationalité à défendre, c’est la rationalité qui structure la culture scientifique: la rationalité critique, antidogmatique, procédurale, ouverte, dynamique, de la connaissance.
