Sucessão e competências empreendedoras nas empresas familiares do setor do artesanato e agroturismo

Resumen

Las empresas familiares representan una parte significativa del tejido empresarial y son extremadamente importantes para la economía y el desarrollo de los países. Sin embargo, estas empresas se enfrentan a varios retos, concretamente en el proceso de sucesión, en el que las competencias empresariales desempeñan un papel importante. Así, el objetivo de este artículo es identificar las competencias empresariales clave presentes en el proceso de sucesión de las empresas familiares portuguesas de los sectores de la artesanía y el agroturismo. Para llevar a cabo el estudio se optó por un enfoque cualitativo, la técnica de obtención de datos fue a través de entrevistas personales semiestructuradas con elementos senior (generación predecesora) y juniors (generación sucesora) de estas empresas. Los resultados permitieron identificar diferentes procesos de sucesión, así como diferentes formas de adquisición de competencias empresariales y, en consecuencia, diferentes grados de desarrollo de este tipo de competencias en las generaciones predecesora y sucesora. Además, se constató que, en ambas generaciones, la relación con el mercado emerge como una de las competencias empresariales fundamentales para el éxito.
