CONHECIMENTO DE ACADÊMICOS DOS CURSOS DE SAÚDE SOBRE OS FATORES DE RISCO PARA O CÂNCER DE MAMA

RESUMO
Trata-se de um estudo observacional transversal, de natureza quantitativa e qualitativa que foi desenvolvido em uma instituição de ensino superior da cidade de Varginha-MG, com 52 estudantes matriculados nos cursos de Biomedicina, Enfermagem, Fisioterapia e Nutrição. Objetivou-se avaliar o nível de conhecimento de Fatores de Riscos que podem ser possíveis desencadeadores do câncer de mama. A coleta de dados ocorreu no período de fevereiro a maio de 2015. Utilizou-se um questionário de perguntas abertas e fechadas e posterior análise estatística e de Bardin. Os resultados apontaram que apesar dos acadêmicos terem um certo conhecimento sobre o câncer de mama e de alguns dos fatores mais importantes, ainda se apresenta-se um déficit quanto aos meios de prevenção e também quanto a seleção de fatores que foram equivocamente caracterizados. Este estudo é de grande importância, uma vez que estes alunos, serão futuros profissionais que atuarão na prevenção e promoção da saúde de pacientes de um modo geral.
ABSTRACT
The present study is a cross-sectional observational study of quantitative and qualitative nature, which was developed in a higher education institution in the city of Varginha-MG, with 52 students enrolled in the courses of Biomedical sciences, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Nutrition. The aim of this study was to assess the level of knowledge about Risk Factors that can be possible triggers to breast cancer. Data collection took place between February to May 2015. It was used a questionnaire of discursive and multiple-choice questions and further statistical analysis and Bardin analysis. The results showed that despite the academic students have certain knowledge about breast cancer and about some of the most important factors, they still present a deficit on the ways of prevention as well as to the selection of factors that were wrongly characterized. This study is of great importance, since these students are future professionals who will work on prevention and health promotion of patients in general.
