Measures related to social isolation to curb the speed of transmission of COVID-19 outlined new challenges within the public sector. In this unexpected context, compulsory teleworking emerges as a strategic alternative and has impacted, in particular, the levels of quality of life and mental health. This research analyzes the perceptions of workers in a Brazilian public institution, with regard to the levels of quality of life in compulsory teleworking, developed during the pandemic. To this end, a Quality of Life scale in compulsory teleworking and Mental Health indicators was applied to a sample of 438 workers. The results obtained show positive aspects related to the quality of life in telework and highlighting the alert tendencies, focusing on the overload resulting from work.
