EditorialAbstract
The III Symposium on Lusophone Economics and Management was held at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém from 15-17 November 2022 under the theme "For a circular economy, for the benefit of social and environmental development", with the presentation of sixty scientific papers by authors from three continents (Africa, America and Europe), five countries (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique and Portugal) and more than 25 higher education institutions.
The present publication is the second of a set of three issues dedicated to the III Symposium on Economics and Management in Lusophony. The first issue Vol. 10, No. 2 (2022) was devoted to thirteen articles selected from the scientific field of Social Sciences and Humanities; this second issue Vol. 10, No. 3 (2022) is devoted to seven articles selected from the scientific field of Natural Sciences and the Environment; the third issue, due to be published in 2023, Vol. 11, No. 2 (2023) will include articles selected from the scientific fields of Social Sciences and Humanities and Natural Sciences and the Environment.
The Economics and Management Symposia represent a forum for debate and a space where researchers from Portuguese-speaking countries meet, present and discuss their research work. All persons holding a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in the areas of economics, management, finance, accounting, environment, sustainability and other related areas are eligible. This discussion forum aims to facilitate the integration of researchers; bring together people and educational institutions, creating opportunities for staff mobility and reflecting on the socioeconomic impacts in the various areas.
The III Symposium on Lusophone Economics and Management followed on from IPSantarém's participation in the II Symposium (held in May 2022 at the University of Mindelo in Cape Verde, co-organized by IPSantarém) and will be continued in the IV Symposium on Lusophone Economics and Management to be held at the University Kimpa Vita in Uíge - Angola, May 16-19, 2023.
