Under the Portuguese government Amazonia is highlighted by its power heterogeneity. This way we try to identify Amazonian society’s behaviors in 18th century that confronts the colonial assimilation process. We propose three types of resistance behaviors: violent, juridical and cultural resistance, each one potentially transversal to ethnic and/or gender identities, therefore allowing us to assume a possible framework to be used in contextual analysis over this region and period.
