Descobrimentos e a Expansão Ultramarina Portuguesa. Um olhar Historiográfico diverso

Abstract

The research work presented in this article introduces an alternative perspective over the Portuguese overseas expansion. The theoretical basis of the research plan, the object, objectives, sources and methodologies used throughout this project represent a perspective which emphasises micro-history, analysing the overseas expansion from an internal point of view. Concurrently, the author underlines the difficulties and at the same time questions the qualities and limitations imposed by such a research project.
