Intubação intratraqueal em paciente acordado com lesão de faringe: um relato de caso.

At any point along the respiratory tract, anatomical variations or distortions can occur and result in a difficult airway. We present an unusual case of a 64-year-old female patient with hypopharyngeal injury caused by detachment of plates and screws from the cervical spine, implanted in a previous arthrodesis surgery. For the surgical review, we opted for awake tracheal intubation. The procedure was performed under minimal sedation, with low-flow oxygen, topicalization, peripheral blocks and intubation with a McGrath® videolaryngoscope. The outcome was successful and uneventful.
