In this text we present a mapping that aims to analyze the studies developed in Portuguese about Digital Skills, Qualification and Employability. To this end, we followed an exploratory research. For that purpose, we applied those key words to the Open Access Scientific Repository of Portugal, obtaining a corpus of documents, which was systematized in an analytical-methodological process inspired by the Meta-model to analyze and explore scientific knowledge® (MAECC®). With this preliminary work, which can be the basis of a project to be developed by a larger team of researchers, we intend to contribute to the systematization of knowledge on those subjects. Ultimately, we also hope to contribute to more, better and well (in)formed future initiatives for acquiring and developing digital competencies. In the theoretical framework, we find that in the context of the current society, where technologies pose new challenges to individuals, governmental organizations have been defining political strategies to improve the digital skills of their citizens, establishing a direct relationship with their qualification and employability. We conclude that the triad "Digital Competencies - Qualification - Employability" should be a constant throughout life, as technological developments are constantly transforming our daily lives. But it is also fundamental for building a more just, inclusive and sustainable society.
