Abstract

The present work is configured as a multicentric, qualitative study about cases of online subjects in Brazil, Mozambique and Portugal identifying the profile of distance learning subjects in higher education institutions in the countries mentioned, in order to contribute to the construction of course design templates. To achieve the objectives, a semi-structured questionnaire was applied, with questions based on four axes: Orientation and Support; Content and Activities; Communication and Collaboration; Reflection and Demonstration. Next, a focus group was held with teachers from the surveyed disciplines, in the three countries, to complement information about the design of each one. In relation to the profile of the subjects that were the object of the study, it was observed that they presented different characteristics, with strong concordances in the Axes of Orientation and Support to the Student, with a profile more centered on the teacher and less agreement regarding the use of use of communication technology tools. Finally, we consider that when drawing the profile of the discipline, the representation of the discipline design can be an important aid for the teacher to promote or not changes and can even make use of the use of the methodology carried out in this study, for planning the design of your online discipline.
