This study sought to raise awareness among Chemistry teachers about the need to integrate Minecraft Education as a pedagogical possibility or alternative for Chemistry classes through ongoing training, using qualitative research. A systematic literature review identified that Minecraft is entirely linked to the lives of a large part of the child and youth population. From this fact, the opportunity to take advantage of this engagement with this audience was identified. However, the need to train teachers was also perceived so that they can incorporate Minecraft, as teachers need to understand how it works for an effective methodology. To this end, a short training course for basic education teachers was developed and implemented, thus seeking to identify the effectiveness of the metaverse in teacher training.
