Writing a good research manuscript is not easy. Besides knowing the subject as a whole, as in parts thereof, being inspired and have original ideas, it is necessary to have knowledge and master the tools needed for the art of written scientific communication, in addition to have training and previous experience. In this heading “DESIGN, WRITING AND PUBLICATION OF SCIENTIFIC MANUSCRIPTS” of the section “SCIENTIFIC EDUCATION” from the journal “NASCER E CRESCER” we address in a pragmatic way some points to consider before writing of a scientiÞ c paper, bearing in mind its future publication in a periodical journal. This item will include four manuscripts: the first will discuss the aspects to consider before writing a scientific article; the second and third manuscripts will focus on issues relating to the structure and content and the size and shape, respectively; in the fourth and final manuscript, we will inform about the process of submission for publication.
