Comunicação de Más Notícias num Serviço de Urgência

Introdução: A comunicação em saúde é essencial para o estabelecimento de relações terapêuticas eficazes entre os profissionais de saúde e o doente e/ou família/pessoa significativa.
Objetivo/s: i) Identificar as dificuldades de uma equipa de enfermagem de um serviço de urgência, na comunicação de más notícias; ii) descrever estratégias para minimizar as dificuldades identificadas.
Métodos: Estudo descritivo integrado num projeto de melhoria contínua da qualidade, realizado num serviço de urgência médico-cirúrgica. Dados colhidos através da aplicação de um questionário eletrónico dirigido à equipa de enfermagem e analisados com recurso a estatística descritiva e inferencial, através do software SPSS versão 28. Cumpridos pressupostos éticos.
Resultados: Os resultados obtidos indicam que os principais fatores dificultadores identificados pelos enfermeiros na comunicação de más notícias, foram a inexistência de condições físicas adequadas, a falta de formação específica e treino. Como estratégias para minimizar as dificuldades identificadas na evidência salientam-se: formação em comunicação de más notícias, treino simulado, criação e implementação de protocolos estruturados e a adequação do espaço físico.
Conclusão: A comunicação de más notícias é um procedimento frequente em serviços de urgência, desafiando os enfermeiros a implementarem estratégias facilitadoras, de forma a reduzir consequências e constrangimentos inerentes ao procedimento.
