Introduction: the growth of population aging, in addition to other co-morbidities, is related to the appearance of osteoarticular disease, specially osteoarthritis of the knee, thus increasing the need to resort to surgical intervention, namely total knee arthroplasty (TKA ). Despite this being the surgical intervention of choice, as it presents the best results in the functional recovery of the patient, it causes some instability, which is why the role of the Rehabilitation Nurse rucial in the immediate postoperative period. The intervention of the SNRN is essential to improve the patient's quality of life, and it is essential to continue it at home, in order to enhance the person's rehabilitation.
Objective: Map the scientific evidence on the EEER intervention in the rehabilitation of people undergoing TKA upon return home
Methods: carrying out a scoping review protocol, based on the Joanna Briggs Institute® methodology. The research was conducted in SCOPUS®, Web of Science™ and EBSCOhost®, and also in the gray literature: the Open Access Scientific Repositories of Portugal, Open Gray and MedNar
Results: : It is expected that the results of this review will allow mapping of EEER interventions in the rehabilitation of people undergoing TKA upon return home.
Conclusion: the results will contribute to help SNRN to improve their approach to patients undergoing TKA.
