Introduction: Around 30 per cent of children experience some kind of sleep disorder in early childhood. These disorders can be prevented or treated with behavioural interventions from birth, promoting the quality of children's sleep and the well-being of families.
Aim: To map the non-pharmacological interventions for promoting children's sleep available for families with children up to two years of age and the instruments used to assess the effectiveness of these interventions.
Methods: This review will follow the Joanna Briggs Institute recommendations for scoping reviews. The databases to be searched will be: Medline, Web of Science, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Scopus, CINAHL, Nursing Databases, PsycINFO, Index Psi Periódicos and Cochrane Library and grey literature. Two independent reviewers will select the studies from the evaluation of titles and abstracts and extract the data from the studies included in the sample.
Results: The data will be presented in table format, accompanied by a descriptive/narrative summary.
Conclusion: It is hoped that this review protocol will contribute to mapping non-pharmacological interventions for promoting children's sleep. And that the results can contribute to improving the quality of children's sleep through appropriate support and guidance for families.
