Needs of adults with asthma

Introduction: Chronic illnesses, and asthma in particular, in the course of their natural evolution acquire characteristics that in their corollary are seen as a burden for the people who experience them. Due to the needs of each person with asthma, there will be unbalanced seek of health assistence throughout the natural pathway of the disease.
Objective/s: Map the scientific evidence on the needs of adults with asthma.
Methods: Literature review considering the framework of the Joanna Briggs Institute to carry out a scoping review, the eligibility criteria will be defined according to the mnemonic population, concept and context (PCC). The process of article analysis, data extraction and synthesis will be carried out by independent reviewers.
Results: With the identification of the needs of adults with asthma it will be possible to analyze and discuss this issue and therefore disseminate the scientific evidence related to this problem, but also optimize nursing therapies by effectively adjusting the respective interventions based on the needs of this population, towards a better experience of this chronic disease.
Conclusion: Identifying the needs of adults with asthma, it will be possible to optimize nursing therapies, and therefore promote a harmonious and balanced consumption of health care, namely emergency services with the respective hospitalization, and therefore a reduction in all the associated socio-economic impact.
