Resumen

Introducción: La Alfabetización en Navegación en Salud (ANS) relacionada con la Alfabetización Sanitaria (AS), se refiere a la capacidad de acceder, comprender, evaluar y utilizar la información sanitaria para navegar eficazmente por los servicios y obtener la atención adecuada.

Objetivos: Analizar el nivel de ANS en estudiantes desplazados de educación superior en Alentejo, Portugal, y su relación con factores sociodemográficos y de salud.

Métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, observacional, transversal, descriptivo y analítico con una muestra de 1519 estudiantes desplazados. Se aplicó un cuestionario online, con la escala HLS19-NAV (Navigational Health Literacy from the European Health Literacy Population Survey 2019-2021), variables sociodemográficas y de salud. El análisis incluyó estadística descriptiva, pruebas t de Student, ANOVA y regresión lineal múltiple (p < 0,05). Estudio aprobado por el Comité de Ética de la Universidad de Évora, previo consentimiento informado.

Resultados: El índice promedio de ANS fue de 24,3 ± 30,0 en una escala de 0 a 100. Los niveles más bajos de ANS se observaron en estudiantes con enfermedades crónicas, y los más altos en estudiantes de carreras de salud, en su último año o com mayor percepción de disponibilidad económica (p < 0,001).

Conclusión: Los bajos niveles de ANS pueden dificultar el acceso y la utilización de los cuidados sanitarios y de enfermería, lo que requiere intervenciones específicas en este ámbito.
