Responsabilidade social nos hotéis no ambiente institucional na região norte de Portugal: Uma análise fatorial

Resumo

Nesta pesquisa pretendemos estabelecer o ambiente institucional na área de responsabilidade social corporativa (RSC) nos hotéis de três, quatro e cinco estrelas localizados na Região Norte de Portugal. Para isso contamos com a Teoria Institucional, que se baseia em três pilares coercitivo, normativo e cognitivo (Scott, 1995). Nosso objetivo é descobrir qual das pressões institucionais coercitiva, normativa ou mimética (Deephouse, 1996) exerce maior influência neste contexto. Na meta delineada foi desenvolvido um estudo quantitativo utilizando um questionário com base em escalas já validadas (Deephouse, 1996; Fernández, 2001; Kostova & Roth, 2002; Llamas, 2005; Riquel, 2010, Gallardo-Vázquez & Sánchez-Hernández, 2012). Para levar a cabo este trabalho, realizamos uma análise fatorial, que identificou a intensidade de cada uma das pressões da Teoria Institucional. Desenvolvemos neste estudo testes de unidimensionalidade de escalas, a fim de realizar a análise fatorial para as construções que compõem o modelo de pesquisa. A aplicação desta metodologia permitiu-nos reduzir a informação contida em um conjunto de variáveis ​​originais para obter um conjunto menor, com perda mínima de informação (Bartlett, 1951; Kaiser, 1970; Nunnally, 1978; Wubneh, 1987; Verdu, 2002; Aymerich & Meseguer, 2004, Perez, 2005 e Wang ,2005). O principal resultado desta pesquisa é que destaca a pressão coercitiva como a mais influente do contexto institucional da Região Norte de Portugal.
