Implementação do yield management como uma ferramenta de aumento de receitas: Estudo de caso

Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es aplicar el uso del "yield management" en una estructura hotelera pequeña con el fin de maximizar los ingresos. En la actualidad, la mayoría de los estudios sobre yield management proponen fórmulas o una formulación general del problema, por lo que los gestores se enfrentan a dificultades en su aplicación práctica. Este estudio aborda el problema desde una perspectiva diferente y ofrece cálculos prácticos y una guía para los gestores hoteleros que puede adoptarse fácilmente en la práctica. El objetivo parcial es persuadir a los gestores hoteleros y financieros para que apliquen el yield management basándose en la fórmula que se construye en el artículo. Los resultados mostraron que la aplicación del yield management es beneficiosa incluso para los hoteles pequeños y puede aumentar los ingresos anuales. Este estudio de caso debería sensibilizar a la dirección del hotel y ofrecer un impulso para considerar los cambios en la fijación de precios con el fin de aumentar la sostenibilidad económica futura de los hoteles pequeños.
