The concern with the increase of the production of organic byproducts in diverse human activities has led to the use of these materials in agriculture.
The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of the application of increasing amounts of two compost products based on RSU's (A) and sewage sludge (B) in the production of the vineyard crop. The experiment was carried out in 2015, 2016 and 2017 at Escola Superior Agrária de Santarém, Quinta do Quinto. The experimental design was a randomized block design with four treatments (0; 12,5 t ha-1; 25 t ha-1; 37,5 t ha-1) and four replications. The production was evaluated from the weight of the bunches of grapes.
The application of 37,5 t ha-1 led to increases in production of 7654 kg ha-1 (product A) and 9803 kg ha-1 (product B), corresponding to increments of 204 kg and 261 kg of grapes per ton of product applied. Production was higher in 2015 and lower in 2017. This difference was justified by climatic conditions variation between years.
