The choice of an appropriate energy source is long due considering the environmental concerns as also the costs for police budget. The article examines the economic advantages of implementing the photovoltaic solar energy in police station, by defining the cost, payback, return on investment, internal rate return and viability of investment. Along with the economic analysis, a cluster analysis was made for revealing the influence of the police stations characteristics for the dimension of the system. More specifically, the paper examines the economic arguments for introducing the solar energy as a choice, and policy practices for the various dimensions. The sustainability of the application presented a payback of 9,4 years, ROI 243,6% and in the long term, 25 years, of 35.853,91€. Integrated police stations presented higher values than the leading ones. The implementation of photovoltaic solar energy panels induces in capital gains, reduction of loss energy and new sources of capital income.
