In this paper we describe the Pedagogical Innovation Course developed by the Laboratory of Pedagogical Innovation and Distance Learning of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (LIED), which started with the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus pandemic. In this paper, we begin by presenting some reflections related to the act of distance teaching and the importance that new technologies had in the transition, on an emergency basis, to virtual education during a period of general confinement in Portugal that started on March 16, 2020. Next, we present the goals and structure of the Pedagogical Innovation Course created by LIED, as well as an analysis of the results of the first edition of the course that took place on-line, with synchronous and asynchronous sessions. In the final part of the paper, we present some final considerations that relate the new ways of educating with the LIED Pedagogical Innovation Course.
