the Prime Rate of the Financial System (PRSF) in the Mozambican financial market. The results obtained from the study indicate that the country is in a strategic position to attract significant investments, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. The recent development of the natural gas sector, in particular, suggests a potential transformation of the country's economic landscape. However, this progress comes with a number of challenges, including the need for infrastructure improvements, reducing bureaucracy, fighting corruption and developing a more skilled workforce. Mozambique's Financial System Prime Rate (PRSF), which influences the cost of credit and ultimately economic growth, plays a key role. In this context, it was observed that variations in the PRSF have a direct impact on the business environment, where an improvement in the "Doing Business" index can lead to stabilization or even a reduction in the PRSF, making credit more accessible and thus encouraging investments and business expansion. Furthermore, the research also indicates that the significant differences between Mozambique's regions in terms of economic potential, infrastructure and levels of education point to the need for specific regional approaches to balanced economic development. Likewise, the study showed that government policies, the global economy, and the political and security situation all play an important role in the country's business environment.
