Abstract

Active learning methodologies are undergoing changes due to the increasing use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in Education. OpenAI's recent ChatGPT is proof that digital technologies are dominating many areas, bringing new possibilities and innovations. In the educational field, digital technologies are allied with active methodologies, which aim to place students at the center of learning, transforming teaching based on traditional methods. Thus, the objective of this bibliographic article is to list some opportunities brought by ChatGPT for the Flipped Classroom methodology, in order to engage students in school activities. As a theoretical reference, authors such as Moran (2015, 2018), Mattar (2017), Bacarin (2020), Valente, Almeida and Geraldini (2017), King (2023), Mello, Neto and Petrillo (2019) and other scholars who discuss the subject. As a result, it was observed that ChatGPT provides students and teachers with a new source of research, with clear information and explanations that facilitate understanding of the study, giving students the opportunity to play the role proposed by the Flipped Classroom model.
