Abstract

The increase in sedentary behaviours at early ages highlights the need to implement active methodologies that promote meaningful learning through movement. The aim of this paper is to present a didactic intervention proposal that integrates gamification strategies with curricular content from the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, grounded in the principles of movement-based learning and neuroeducation. The instructional design comprises structured sessions in which basic motor skills —locomotion, manipulation and stabilisation— are developed through motor circuits, didactic games and exploration tasks, linking them transversally with the curricular areas of environmental awareness, languages and representation, and personal autonomy. The proposal seeks to reduce sedentary time in the school context, optimise the development of motor competences through playful methodologies, and foster curricular learning from an experiential approach. This work provides an innovative educational intervention model that offers teachers methodological tools to promote comprehensive motor education in early childhood.
