Conhecimento das Mulheres Sobre a Influência do Aleitamento Materno na Sua Saúde e na do Filho

Introdução: O conhecimento da mulher sobre os benefícios do aleitamento materno na saúde da mãe e do filho é um fator determinante para a saúde e desenvolvimento da criança e da sociedade.
Objetivo: Mapear o conhecimento da mulher sobre a influência do aleitamento materno na saúde da mãe e do filho
Metodologia: Foi elaborada uma scoping review segundo a metodologia proposta pelo Joanna Briggs Institute.
Resultados: A pesquisa inicial resultou em 459 artigos, dos quais 454 foram excluídos após o processo de seleção. A análise revelou que as mães possuem mais conhecimento sobre os benefícios do leite materno para a saúde do bebé, sobretudo no que diz respeito às vantagens biológicas e, posteriormente, nutricionais. Identificou-se uma lacuna de conhecimento nos benefícios para a própria e ambiente.
Conclusão: Este défice de conhecimento pode influenciar negativamente a decisão de amamentar. Por isso, é essencial que os profissionais de saúde desenvolvam estratégias eficazes para promover essa prática, esclarecendo as mulheres sobre as vantagens do aleitamento materno em todas as suas dimensões.
