Validação do questionário de mapeamento do conhecimento ético em estudantes de Enfermagem

Introduction
The construction and validation of valid instruments which allow us to obtain data about the Ethical Knowledge are essential in order for any nurse to think, reflect and guide their practice according to the deontological code.
Objective
To describe the process of validation of the Questionnaire for Mapping of Ethical Knowledge (MQEK).
Methods
85 nursing students, with an average age of 20.96 years (Dp=3.03). The internal consistency and the construct validity were analysed. The Questionnaire for Mapping of Ethical Knowledge (Cunha et al., 2013), consists of 4 parts, Part I: Biographic and Academic Data, Part II: Way of acting, Part III: Scale of Typology values and lastly (STVL), Part IV: Scale of Values/Duties and ethics (SVDE).
Results
The Scale of Typology values Cronbach’s alpha (alpha=.839), revealed a good internal consistency, as well as the Scale of Values/Duties and ethics (alpha=.870).
The students showed, in its majority, a positive level of knowledge, namely in Part III Scale of Typology values and lastly (STVL) and Part IV: Scale of Values/Duties and ethics (SVDE), in which students exhibited positive values of 50.6% and 55.3%, respectively.
Conclusions
The psychometric proprieties of the Questionnaire for Mapping of Ethical Knowledge certify its quality as an instrument to be used in the evaluation of the level of Ethical Knowledge amongst nursing students.
