Concept analysis of feeling abandoned to the very elderly people in construction of knowledge in nursing

This methodological essay presents a proposal for an approach that supports the development of a research study about a question raised in the practice of nursing care, the topic feeling abandoned to the very elderly people, in order to understand its meaning for nursing. Method - It is used the methodology of concept analysis, as a strategy particularly important in the development and consolidation of nursing knowledge. The methodological options that should be followed for the development of the study about this topic are exposed and based, having as internal regulator the quadrupole model for the qualitative scientific methodology. Results – It is revealed as essential the concept analysis in a dynamic interaction proposed by the humanistic theory in nursing as an orientation to the therapeutic presence. Conclusions - The apprehension of the phenomenon feeling abandoned, through the identification of it’s empirical attributes, fits and provides accuracy to the analysis of the concept to feel abandoned, hoping to contribute to the knowledge in the nursing profession.
