The family is a fundamental social context in the transition to parenting, promoting child development and child well-being. The nurse must act as early as possible and include parental health promotion programs, appropriate to contemporary family structures. This subject arises from the development of individual academic narratives, from which the concept of family emerged. This scoping review was carried out with the question 'How to promote the transition to parenting in the family?', with the aim of identifying ways to promote the transition from parenting in the family, which meets the objective of this article. After research with the MeSH descriptors family, health promotion and parenting, 3 articles were selected that analyze intervention strategies in families, such as the ABC health promotion parental program and home visits as effective in the transition to parenting.
