Job satisfaction refers to a positive feeling regarding job characteristics and is an important factor in the success of an organization. The present work aimed to assess if the confinement due to COVID-19 pandemic has influenced job satisfaction in Portuguese employees. Data was collected by an online questionnaire, before the first confinement and after the last confinement due to this pandemic (n=288 and 245 for PreC and PosC, respectivamente). It was observed an increase in job satisfaction after confinement (medium values of 6.6 e 7.0, for PreC and PosC respectively; p=0.010), which may be due to the predomination of women in both samples, ages below 50 years. No significant differences were observed between different types of jobs. Correlation analysis suggest that income is positively related with job satisfaction, and that for the same level of income the type of job does not influence job satisfaction.
