Maria Alfredo Moreira é a diretora atual da Revista Portuguesa de Educação. É professora auxiliar do Departamento de Estudos Integrados de Literacia, Didática e Supervisão do Instituto de Educação da Universidade do Minho. Foi Presidente da Comissão Coordenadora Estágios Pedagógicos da Universidade do Minho e é membro dos Conselhos Científico e Pedagógico do Instituto de Educação. Os seu principais interesses científicos centram-se nas áreas de formação de professores, supervisão pedagógica e educação em línguas. É autora e coautora de diversos artigos, livros e capítulos de livros em contextos nacionais e internacionais.
