Desarrollo del Inglés en la Educación Superior Marroquí

La educación superior marroquí ha experimentado diversos cambios durante la última década. La transición del sistema de Licenciatura-Máster-Doctorado (LMD) al sistema de Grado, mediante una reforma más técnica, tuvo repercusiones en la configuración del panorama lingüístico y propició el auge del inglés en la universidad. Desde la perspectiva de la teoría poscolonial y la sociolingüística, esta investigación empírica empleó un enfoque mixto que combina métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos para explorar las percepciones de estudiantes y profesores sobre el estatus del inglés y los diversos factores macro y micro que influyen en su desarrollo en la educación superior marroquí. Asimismo, examina cómo la difusión del inglés en la educación transforma los comportamientos lingüísticos y las identidades de estudiantes y profesores marroquíes. Las conclusiones de este estudio revelaron que importantes factores sociopolíticos internos propiciaron una creciente tendencia positiva a adoptar el inglés en la educación superior y utilizarlo como una lengua prometedora para un mejor futuro profesional.
