In this study of systematic review of the literature, it was aimed to gather current knowledge regarding the models of sports training for children and the current state in Taekwondo mode. We collect from the following different sources: electronic databases (web of knowledge, b-on, rcaap), and master's and doctoral dissertations. The keywords used for the research were, in Portuguese: "Sports training models"; "Research in teaching models"; "Training of Young Sportsmen" also conducted research in English, "Sports development fo children"; "Sport development programs for children. In a more specific research we used the key words: "Training models in Taekwondo"; "Training models in Taekwondo"; Formation models in taekowndo. They resulted in 1 master's thesis, 17 scientific articles and 3 books. We can thus conclude that research evidence points to training models for children and young people based on long-term development, taking into account the age-based developmental stages of the child in order to foster "windows of opportunity" Or an optimal period for the training of all the abilities of the athletes. In the case of Taekwondo Mode, it uses a model based on the aforementioned, being a project of the federation's responsibility and in accordance with the IPDJ guidelines for this area, we also find the linking of training of trainers to the development of the athlete in the long term, As the different authors recommend.
