The IV Intercontinental Conference on Digital Transformation: Towards the Preservation of Memory, Social Inclusion, and Green Economy Sustainability - was broadcast live via Colibri/Zoom session on the Facebook page of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém and held in person at the ESGTS Auditorium, with nearly sixty participants from more than twenty-three higher education institutions representing three continents, on December 12, 2023. This 4th edition of the Conference inherits a DNA reflected in the 2020, 2021, and 2022 editions, published in special issues of the scientific journal of the Research Unit of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, specifically in its 1st edition - Vol. 8 No. 4 (2020), Thematic Edition: Exact Sciences and Engineering - Conference "Digital Transformation and Information Technologies in Times of Pandemic"; in its 2nd edition - Vol. 9 No. 4 (2021): Thematic Edition: Exact Sciences and Engineering | International Conference: Digital Transformation - International Cooperation, Multiculturalism, Collaborative Work, and More Inclusive, Sustainable, and Resilient Environments; and in its 3rd edition - Vol. 10 No. 4 (2022): Thematic Edition: Exact Sciences and Engineering | International Conference: Digital Transformation - International Cooperation, Multiculturalism, Collaborative Work, and More Inclusive, Sustainable, and Resilient Environments. This edition of the Digital Transformation Conference maintained its annual periodicity and the aggregation of research and scientific development spaces of the RIAL - International Academic Network of Lusophony, a network whose Charter of Commitment for its constitution was signed on November 17, 2022, at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém by twenty signatory entities from five countries. Currently, since November 20, 2023, the Network includes forty-three higher education institutions (HEIs) / research centers (RCs) from six Lusophone countries: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Portugal, and São Tomé and Príncipe. These HEIs/RCs represent an intercontinental, multicultural, collaborative, innovative, and creative space for R&D in multiple scientific domains where tens of thousands of researchers and more than a million students operate. At the conference, a set of fifteen articles by affiliates of RIAL partner institutions were selected, which are presented in the current issue, dedicated to Exact Sciences and Engineering, representing Volume 11, No. 4 (2023).Downloads
