The recent pandemic crisis marked the actions of early child intervention professionals, leading to changes on the way to act with children, families and teams (educational, therapeutic and medical). Social isolation brought the need to reinvent new possibilities and use technology, to enable continuity on child support and families, and also bridging with all professionals. This article has the goal of presenting results of a case study about the pandemic’s impact over intervention specifics with a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and his family. This relates to an investigation that follows an approach of action research characteristics, qualitative and interventional nature, eminently comprehensive and interpretative. The collection techniques where both semi structured interview and document consultation. The obtained results show that the remote intervention format contributes to achieve some of the objectives defined at Andrew’s the individual early intervention plan (IPIP), reinforcing the importance of conducting the early intervention under a natural context, underlying moments of daily routines and experiences, interacting with people and familiar contexts. On the other side, it amplified information sharing moments, both with relatives and other professionals, corroborating the importance of humanizing relations, as the baseline for construction of intervention modes, independent of means and answers of “emergency”, that the confinement times brought to the IPI professionals.
