This article aims to bring out the meanings of an Early Childhood Education teacher during remote teaching in the COVID-19 pandemic. The theme of Distance Education will be approached, questioning the expression “remote emergency education” after six months of pandemic. The concept of innovation will also serve as an argument for the article, as well as that of an instructional designer. The report will make explicit the routine of the teacher of Early Childhood Education, marked by a Digital Laboratory to support teaching actions, made available by the teaching system of her performance. Finally, it will bring up the proximity / distance paradox brought to the family / school relationship during online education, concluding that perhaps this could be a positive sequel to the pandemic, if this relationship reverberates to fill the gap that separates the school from family.
