The objective of this study is to investigate the mediating potential of video in teaching concepts from the teachers' point of view. The study is qualitative and exploratory in nature. The participants were teachers of the Early Years and Kindergarten, who had experiences with the production/use of video during the pandemic. The data were collected through an online questionnaire. The results allow us to infer that the video revealed itself as a potential mediator for the teaching of concepts insofar as it enabled a reorganization of the didactic process based on the specific elements that this resource provides. The artifact also made it possible to work with a variety of languages and ways to work with scientific concepts, going beyond the limitations of class time and space. Thus, despite the difficulties faced by teachers during the pandemic period, the production/use/editing of video represented a challenge, but also a learning experience.
