This study proposes a critical analysis of violence against women within the context of the "cyberculture underworld," which refers to digital platforms related to pornography, webcamming, and the sale of erotic "packs." The focus is on how the lack of regulation and the exploitation of these sites contribute to systemic violence against girls and women and how these practices are inadequately investigated and, consequently, not held accountable. The aim of this paper is to expose and discuss the harmful practices and regulatory gaps present in the adult digital sector. The objectives are to (i) shed light on the covert operations and terms of service of these platforms, (ii) highlight how girls and women are influenced by the advertising discourses prevalent online, and (iii) stimulate discussion on the need for accountability of companies and intermediaries (digital influencers and coaches) who control this underworld and propagate misinformation in cyberspace. The article seeks to contribute to media literacy amidst the war of narratives and fake news, calling for reflection from educators, researchers, and civil society to combat violence against girls and women in cyberculture.
