EDITORIAL: Digital Transformation and Information Technologies in Pandemic Times

The virtual conference "Digital Transformation and Information Technologies in Pandemic Times" aimed at creating a privileged meeting point for sharing, disseminating and discussing topics of interest and practices in the field of digital transformation.
The conference took place on 16 December 2020 and was broadcast in real time, from the Colibri/Zoom session with more than 170 participants and on the Facebook page of the Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, where more than 50 participants were registered. The conference presented a set of twelve papers (from the Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, Instituto Superior de Gestão, Universidade de Brasília, Universidade de Santiago and Instituto Politécnico de Tomar) and fifteen scientific posters (from the Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, Universidade da Beira Interior and Universidade de Évora) which, subject to the scientific requirements and criteria for publication of the UI_IPSantarém journal, are presented in this issue, in a publication dedicated to Exact Sciences and Engineering which represents the fourth and last issue of Volume 8 (2020).
