Abstract
In the age of the Internet, misinformation has become the defining challenge of our time. Difficult to define, yet increasingly recognisable and widespread, misinformation bears the mark of the perversion of one of the most fundamental modern freedoms: freedom of expression. The ability to communicate is being exploited as a means of harming and undermining the interests – and even the lives – of other people or entire countries.
