This article deals with the relationship between the teacher and the children of Early Childhood Education, and has as theoretical background the ideas of Paulo Freire, especially Pedagogy of the Oppressed (1987). A "denunciation" and an "announcement" are outlined in the following lines. A denunciation, against practices that oppress and hurt children, such as banking education, so strongly opposed by the author, and an announcement made through a Humanizing Pedagogy, which gives dignity to the subjects. The methodological approach consists of a bibliographical study, of a qualitative nature, establishing a dialogue between the Freirean conceptions and the daily life of the schools of Early Childhood Education. The concepts of Miguel Arroyo (2013 and 2014) inspired by Freire, are also relevant contribution in this study. In this way, it is an invitation to educators to make and redo their practices in a more meaningful way, educating their eyes to the sensitivity of perceiving in each gesture, in each proposal, meanings for humanization, reatando with childhood, with their specificities, surpassing prescriptions, paradigms, old speeches, aiming at the advancement of conscience, guaranteeing rights, finally contributing to unveil the oppressive ideology and recover the stolen humanity, allowing reflections on the interactions established between the subjects in the school context.
