This article focuses on the physical education teacher education in two public universities located in different countries: the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the University of Porto, Portugal. Thus, the objective is to analyze the guiding documents of the disciplines of these courses, pointing possibilities of discussion about inclusion during the students formation. It was possible to demonstrate that there is a possibility to discuss such issues, even in disciplines that historically do not deal with diversity, differences or inclusion. It is not necessary to change the guiding documents, but another way of appropriating these writings and rethinking how these documents may reflect inclusive cultures, policies and practices.
