Aulas Expositivas como Metodologia de Ensino de Biologia

This research aims to analyze conceptual and application aspects regarding expository classes (AE) as a Biology teaching methodology in dissertations in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations of the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (BDTD/IBICT), published between the years from 2019 to 2022. To achieve this purpose, through an advanced search of the following descriptors "Teaching of Biology" and "Expository Class" at BDTD/IBCT, 15 scientific productions were selected, experimented on the following aspects: the concepts of AE presents in scientific productions, the most frequent forms of applications of AE and the relationship between the contents addressed in Biology and the use of AE. After analysis, we verified as characteristic of the use of this methodology the passivity of the students in the researchers' view, we also identified that the use of resources, such as videos, films and software.
