The aim of this article is to analyze the teaching practice of a 6th grade teacher from the province of Bengo, Angola, in the 2023-2024 school year. The analysis focuses precisely on content planning, the use of teaching resources and her difficulties in teaching angles. Due to its qualitative nature, the study was developed using the case study method, the data for which were collected through a semi-structured interview form. In fact, the main results of the study were: (i) the lack of initial and continuous training for teaching Mathematics in Primary Education on the part of the teacher; (ii) the lack of initiatives for continuous training due to needs. From the discussion carried out on these results, it was concluded that the lack of initial and continuous training of the teacher results in difficulties for the teacher in relation to teaching angles. Given that the teacher does not have ongoing training to improve her teaching skills on angles, this study suggests replacing the teacher in the 6th Grade class and proposes providing teachers in the classes in accordance with Presidential Decree 160/18, of July 3, in order to ensure more solid teaching of Mathematics, given that it is a very complex subject. On the other hand, the teaching of Geometry, especially angles, has been far below that recommended by the Didactics of Mathematics for Primary Education in Angola.
