Introduction: Technological transformations in Higher Education have driven the adoption of digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams, especially in areas such as Secretarial and Tourism, where communication and organisational skills are crucial. The integration of virtual learning environments has the potential to boost foreign language teaching, promoting active student-centred methodologies.
Objective To analyse how the pedagogical strategy based on the use of Microsoft Teams favours student engagement and learning, contributing to the development of relevant skills for the labour market, as well as identifying limitations, challenges, preferences, and recommendations in its use.
Methods: The research followed a qualitative approach with a constructivist orientation, centred on a case study with 68 students from the Secretarial and Tourism courses. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire, with descriptive statistical analysis of the answers to 15 statements organised into four dimensions.
Results: The data reveal largely positive perceptions. Microsoft Teams was recognised as an innovative tool that facilitated hybrid learning, promoted the development of digital skills, and was well accepted by students, despite some technical limitations.
Conclusion: The integration of Microsoft Teams favoured students' learning and professional preparation and was perceived as an effective pedagogical strategy with strong potential for replication in Higher Education.
