Contributos da psicanálise para a educação e para a relação professor-aluno
Abstract
A Psicanálise trouxe uma nova forma de olhar a criança e a infância. O maior contributo de Freud, para os profissionais da educação, reside no facto de ter conduzido a uma forma nova de olhar a infância, que contrasta fortemente com a crença vitoriana de que o mau comportamento ou os problemas de personalidade da criança eram o resultado do pecado original, só corrigíveis por uma disciplina severa e rígida (Fontana, 1986). Ao longo dos últimos cem anos, a Psicanálise teve um papel incontornável na compreensão do funcionamento mental e, inevitavelmente, os seus contributos foram sendo progressivamente integrados no domínio educativo.
